Increase Tuition and Additional Fees for a Private Educational Institution

This service aims to allow beneficiaries to request approval on increase in tuition and additional fees for existing educational establishments (private schools and kindergartens).

1. electronic and hard copy of completed tuition increase request form (as per the circular), including:

- General information about the school or kindergarten.

- Statement of both approved and proposed tuition fees.

- Approved latest financial report of the school or kindergarten, with all pages stamped.

2. Submit the request form electronically (on CD) and in hard copy (A4), stamped and signed by the school or kindergarten owner, and approved by an accredited accounting firm

3. Attach the latest approved tuition fees for the school or kindergarten.

4. Submit copies of the last three consecutive financial reports, audited by an accredited accounting firm, with all pages stamped.

5. Provide supporting documents justifying the tuition fee increase, ensuring they are measurable and evaluable.

6. Attach evidence of notifying parents about the proposed tuition fee increase for the upcoming year, specifying the requested percentage.

1. The school or kindergarten must submit audited financial statements and disclose them as per the Ministry’s approved template.

2. The school or kindergarten must have been licensed for at least four years.

3. Exceptions to the four-year licensing requirement may apply for new additional fees only, provided supporting evidence and documents justify the request.

4. The school or kindergarten must not have received a tuition fee increase in the last two academic years, except for schools directly supervised by the Ministry (e.g., SEK Spanish School, Finnish School, DeBakey High School for Medical Professions) if experiencing confirmed losses.

5. Revenue from activities outside school hours must be disclosed in financial reports, accompanied by an approval letter for conducting these activities.

6. Financial reports must be submitted in Arabic only.

7. Financial reports must not include data from unrelated commercial activities listed in the commercial registration.

8. Financial reports must not include data from branches other than the one for which the fee increase is requested (in case of schools with multiple branches).

9. Schools and kindergartens must prepare additional supporting documents for financial data if requested by the Private Schools Licensing Department.

10. Schools with after-hours activities must disclose revenue from these activities in financial reports, accompanied by an approval letter for conducting these activities.

11. Community schools must obtain approval from the respective embassies before requesting a tuition fee increase.
