Application for a Scholarship

This service aims to allow students to apply for internal or external scholarship programs.

Incomplete Digital

For Undergraduate Studies:

1. Unconditional acceptance letter from one of the universities listed on the Ministry's eligible universities for scholarships.

2. Copy of the student’s Qatari ID (both sides).

3. High school diploma or equivalency certificate for private school students.

4. 'To Whom It May Concern' certificate from a local bank with the student’s IBAN.

5. Academic transcript if applying for inclusion in the scholarship.

For Postgraduate Studies:

1. Unconditional acceptance letter from one of the universities listed for scholarship eligibility.

2. Copy of the student’s Qatari ID (both sides).

3. Graduation certificate or equivalency certificate for the previous degree.

4. Transcript of courses for the previous degree.

5. Nomination letter from the employer.

6. Approval letter from the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau (for government employees only).

7. Performance evaluation for the last three years.

8. Recommendation letter from the direct manager on the student’s performance.

9. 'To Whom It May Concern' certificate from a local bank with the student’s IBAN (for students studying abroad).

For Bachelor's Degree:

1.The university must be listed among the universities approved for government scholarships.

2.The age of the sponsored student must not exceed 27 years.

3.The student must have achieved a GPA of 2.5 or a "Good" grade.

4.The student must have completed 30 earned credits or their equivalent in the British system (one academic year) and must have no less than 15 credits (one semester) remaining for graduation. The earned credits must have been completed prior to the sponsorship request and in accordance with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education's recognized university equivalency system.

5.The student must not have previously joined a study scholarship funded by any other entity or attended an educational institution for the same academic degree. Exceptions apply if the student’s prior studies are counted as part of the new academic program.

6.Students will not be sponsored for bachelor's degrees under complementary study systems (Top Up), sandwich years, intensive programs, part-time programs, or online programs.

7.The chosen major must align with the majors listed in the scholarship plan.

For Graduate Studies:

1.The applicant must be a Qatari citizen.

2.The applicant must have good conduct and reputation.

3.The applicant must be medically fit.

4.The age of the applicant must not exceed 45 years for master’s programs.

5.The age of the applicant must not exceed 40 years for doctoral programs.

6.The applicant's grade for the previous academic degree must not be less than "Very Good."

7.If applying for graduate studies with a "Good" grade, the following must be provided:

-An "Excellent" or equivalent performance evaluation for the last three years.

-A recommendation letter from the direct supervisor, which must be sent directly to the Scholarship Administration.

8.Employees must submit a nomination letter from their employer indicating the need for the required specialization. Non-employees may be considered if the applicant achieved an "Excellent" grade in their previous degree or if their specialization is critically needed by the country.

9.The chosen specialization for the scholarship must align with the nominee's job responsibilities.

10.Approval must be obtained from the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau.

11.The applicant must be fully released from work when studying abroad.

12.A graduation certificate for the previous degree must be provided, and it must be certified or equivalent as per the concerned authority in the country.

13.Changing the specialization, scholarship location, or educational institution must not increase the study duration beyond the period specified in the scholarship decision.

14.The nominee must not have previously joined a study scholarship funded by any other entity or attended an educational institution for the same or a higher academic degree funded by the state.

15.The nominee must commit to adhering to the rules, regulations, and instructions issued by the relevant department.

16.The student must adhere to the chosen specialization and study at the university specified in the scholarship. Any change in specialization or university must be approved in writing by the Scholarship Administration. If the change is made without approval, the student must repay all financial amounts disbursed during the scholarship.

17.The graduate must work at the nominating entity for double the duration of the scholarship. Failure to comply will result in reclaiming all financial amounts disbursed during the scholarship.

18.The nominee must adhere to all conditions specified by the relevant department based on the program and academic degree.
