Investigation of Professional Practices of Healthcare Practitioners (Complaints, Sick Leaves, or Advertisements)

This service aims to investigate complaints submitted by beneficiaries (individuals or institutions) against healthcare practitioners and health facilities, as well as violations in advertisements published through social media platforms that contradict relevant circulars and policies. The service includes assessing the severity of these practices, escalating complaints when necessary, and resolving them by taking the required measures in collaboration with the relevant entities within the ministry.

1. Complaint submission form from the Government Healthcare Contact Center.

2. Contact details of the complainant or patient: phone number and email address.

3. A copy of the Qatari ID card for the complainant and the patient.

4. Any photos, documents, or additional information that the complainant can provide (optional).

1. The complaint must be written.

2. The complaint/report must fall within the scope of the department's work and have a medical/health nature.

3. The complaint must not be under consideration by any other government entity (such as security or judicial authorities in the state), whether submitted before or during its investigation by the professional competency team.

4. The complaint must not be related to financial/material matters, such as claims for monetary compensation or reimbursement of treatment costs.

5. The subject of the complaint must not be outdated to the extent that investigation becomes difficult, as determined by specialists in the field.

6. The entity being complained against must be specified.

7. The complainant must cooperate with the professional competency officer responsible for the complaint by responding to all inquiries during the investigation process. The complaint may be closed if 90 days pass without cooperation from the complainant.

8. The complainant must adhere to any scheduled appointments for the patient with experts for examination or interviews. Failure to comply may result in the complaint being closed.

9. Upon the conclusion of the investigation process, the results will be delivered to the patient only, or their representative if the patient is a minor or legally incapacitated.

10. Any documents obtained from third parties during the investigation process will only be shared with official authorities in the state (security/judicial entities).
