Issuance of Letters for Transporting a Deceased Person Abroad

This service facilitates the process of transporting a deceased person abroad. The request must be submitted to the Death Registration Unit at the Humanitarian Services Office after the death certificate has been issued.

Traditional

1. Original death certificate.

2. 'To Whom It May Concern' letter (5 certified copies) from the Criminal Evidence and Information Department at the Ministry of Interior.

3. No-objection letter from the deceased's embassy.

4. Air cargo waybill (1 original + 3 copies).

1. The issuance of the death certificate must be completed before applying for this service.

2. The applicant must be a first-degree relative of the deceased or an authorized representative.

100 QAR for the embalming certificate (Exemptions apply to government employees and GCC citizens).
