Registration in the Mandatory Health Insurance System

This service aims to register healthcare providers, insurance companies, health insurance claims management companies, and health insurance brokers with the Health Financing and Insurance Department to participate in the Mandatory Health Insurance System, in accordance with the law, regulations, and the approved registration policy and procedures. This includes:

- Phase 1: Pre-registration stage.

- Phase 2: Main registration stage.

Registration must be renewed annually to maintain the validity of the registration certificate and ensure continued participation in the system.

Digital

1. Copy of the healthcare facility license (for healthcare providers).

2. Copy of Qatar Central Bank license (for insurance companies, claims management companies, and insurance brokers), or Qatar Financial Center license (for insurance companies, claims management companies, and insurance brokers).

3. Copy of the commercial license (for companies).

4. Copy of the authorization letter for the designated signatory from the employer.

5. Main registration form.

1. Declaration that the entity stores all patient data within Qatar.

2. No conflict of interest related to the entity’s participation in the Mandatory Health Insurance System.

3. No contracts with any other entity subject to registration that is not properly registered with the Health Financing and Insurance Department.

4. All documents must be valid.

5. Submission of the required undertakings from healthcare providers.

6. Submission of the required undertakings from insurance companies, claims management companies, and insurance brokers.

7. Submission of the required disclosures from entities subject to registration.

Fees vary based on entity type:

✔ Healthcare Providers:

- Hospitals: 10,000 Qatari Riyals

- Health Centers: 5,000 Qatari Riyals

- Clinics: 2,000 Qatari Riyals

- Pharmacies: 2,000 Qatari Riyals

- Diagnostic Centers: 2,000 Qatari Riyals

✔ Health Insurance Companies: 100,000 Qatari Riyals

✔ Claims Management Companies: 25,000 Qatari Riyals

✔ Health Insurance Brokers: 20,000 Qatari Riyals
