On Tuesday, May 23rd, the Qatar Economic Forum launches in Doha in cooperation with Bloomberg. Attending will be 1,000 business leaders from all over the world, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the country.

Over the next three days, Katara Towers will receive more than 50 regional and international speakers who have come to highlight the latest economic trends in energy, healthcare, finance, and technology and their role in driving future growth. Among the speakers are government officials, CEOs, and influencers in culture, sports, and entertainment.

The forum also brings together experts and emerging voices through interviews, discussion sessions, and interactive workshops to exchange ideas and viewpoints in light of the growing economic trend "South-South."

Global Cooperation is a Pillar of Economic Growth

The Qatar Economic Forum has been hosted in Doha for the last three years, confirming the importance of Doha as a primary destination for global economic discussions. The Qatar Economic Forum hopes to enhance solutions to financial challenges by constructing a global economic dialogue.

After two successful forums and hosting the FIFA World Cup finals last November, Doha has become a primary spot for global connectivity. Scott Havens, CEO of Bloomberg Media, said the Qatar Economic Forum is "a unique and well-established platform to discuss the most important issues in business and connect influential voices across diverse industries and global societies."

These critical discussions increase opportunities to find solutions as the world's economic crises deepen. As its first edition came in 2021, post-covid, global leaders discussed financial solutions and the transition to the post-COVID-19 phase.

In 2022, the second edition of the Economic Forum discussed the Russian-Ukrainian war and the crisis threatening global food chains.

This year, under the slogan "A New Story of Global Growth," the forum confirmed its place in the agenda of decision-makers worldwide.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Abdullah Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry, welcomed business community representatives from around the world to Doha. He stresses that cooperation and interdependence between countries have become essential for economic growth and development.
