His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani issued on Wednesday Amiri decision No. 63 of 2023 establishing Qatar Government Excellence Award.
The decision stipulated that the Award shall be established with the aim of elevating the quality of government performance, and encouraging government agencies and employees to compete in applying the highest standards of quality, development and excellence in performance by honoring the outstanding accomplishments and efforts of all groups that contribute to the realization of the Qatar National Vision.
The decision also stipulated that a committee is to be established in the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau under the name of "Qatar Government Excellence Award Committee of Trustees" to manage the award's affairs to achieve its goals, in terms of setting the necessary standards for granting the award, determining its categories and classes, and setting up its procedures.
The decision is effective starting from its date of issue, and is to be published in the official gazette.
