Civil Service and Government Development Bureau Concludes the First Hackathon for Government Services in the State of Qatar

The Civil Service and Government Development Bureau concluded the first hackathon for government services in Qatar in cooperation with the Global Institute for Innovation Management. His Excellency, Mr. Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak Al Khalifa President of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, attended the event.
The hackathon lasted for three days, with the participation of more than 35 innovators from 17 government agencies to design innovative solutions for government services using best practices in line with Qatar's strategy for research, development, and innovation in 2030.
During the second day, the participating teams identified the gaps between current and potential future offerings to determine what activities must be completed. Teams prepared prototypes to display innovative solutions and presented them to attendees.
HE Mr. Abdul Aziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, President of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, stressed, "the importance of organizing such events lies in advancing innovation in the government sector and improving the quality of government services provided to customers, through the exchange of experiences and motivating cadres humanity to innovate within a competitive environment to achieve speed, high efficiency and innovation in building services."
During the last period, the Bureau participated in a set of initiatives, which included the government services strategy, which resulted in the government services guide. The Bureau also contracted Sprinklr and worked with the Government Communications Office and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to develop the Sharek platform, which will contribute to achieving an integrated experience for government services.
