The General Tax Authority (GTA) and the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau announced on their official Twitter accounts that henceforth all GTA counters in all government service centers have been closed.

This comes as part of a wider campaign to digitize and automate government services in the State of Qatar. The GTA announced that it has launched a new service through which the process of requesting no objection to the transfer of ownership can now be done through the electronic Dhareeba Tax Portal.​

Dhareeba is an integrated digital platform that helps taxpayers manage, calculate and review the various types of taxes they owe, and links them digitally to the GTA and other relevant government authorities.
