"Katara," the public institution of the Cultural Village in Doha, opened an art exhibition for a group of unique holdings entitled "Khabib Al-Reem," which is the product of the specialized collector Mr. Fahd bin Muhammad Al-Khater.

The distinguished group displays many valuable and essential historical holdings and pieces.

The exhibition, which is held in Katara Cultural City, in the main showroom in Building 1, includes several unique and distinctive sections for those with good taste and those interested in rare pieces, including the carpets and rosaries section, and the weapons section of the ancient rulers of Qatar.

The exhibition is a part of the carefully selected old books section. It hosts many artifacts: precious daggers, knives, and radios. This comes in addition to other sections devoted to critical historical periods, including holdings from the Mongol and Persian eras.

The "Khabib Al-Reem" exhibition will continue until the 16th of next August, and it will be available to visitors daily from 10:00 am local time until 10 pm.

In press statements, the Director General of the Katara Foundation, Dr. Khaled bin Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti, said: "Displaying such rare and precious collectibles is an opportunity for the public to see an important period in the history of Qatar, in addition to collectibles from multiple cultures."

He added that "Katara" is always "keen to highlight the Qatari heritage and history on various occasions and events, (and in this exhibition) the awareness of the Qatari artist and collector and his eagerness to be proud of his heritage."

It is worth noting that collecting unique collectibles and precious pieces is a famous and popular hobby among many Qataris, and the Katara Cultural Village has previously organized many exhibitions in this field, which received a vast turnout from interested visitors.
