HE Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Heads Qatari Hajj Mission for Current Year

His Excellency Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Ghanem bin Shaheen al-Ghanem, decided to form the Qatari Hajj delegation for the Hajj season for the year 1444 AH, corresponding to 2023 AD.

HE will head the mission, and Mr. Ali Sultan Al-Musaifri will serve as his deputy. Members have also been appointed to represent the Qatari Ministries of Interior and Foreign Affairs, Public Health, and the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, in addition to forming an advisory committee and supportive administrative units to serve the country's pilgrims for this season.

It is worth noting that the Qatari Hajj mission is formed by the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs on an annual basis. It consists of the head of the task, the vice president, the advisory committee, the legal expert, the Sharia unit, the medical unit, the control and inspection unit, the public relations unit, the secretarial unit, the information systems unit, the Coordination and Follow-up Unit and the Airport, the Financial Unit, the Communication and Support Unit, and the Logistics Services and Sentiments Unit.

The mission is accompanied by a media team representing the state's media institutions, such as Qatar News Agency (QNA), Qatar TV, Al-Rayyan satellite channel, and Qatar Radio.

This Qatari Hajj mission provides supportive logistical services, facilitates the journey of the pilgrims of the State of Qatar in the holy sites, and follows up on their daily requirements while ensuring their security and safety in cooperation with the relevant Saudi authorities.

For his part, the head of the Coordination and Follow-up Department of the Qatari Department of Hajj and Umrah Affairs, Ibrahim bin Muhammad Al-Nama, explained that the units supporting the Qatari Hajj mission will work diligently by coordinating efforts and following up on the latest equipment that each team undertakes according to a system of services that integrates all units.

The mission will provide optimal services to the country's pilgrims to ensure that they perform their rituals without problems until their safe return to Qatar.
