The Ministry of Interior (MOI) stated on its official Twitter account that the Coasts and Borders Security Department provides a service on the MOI’s Metrash2 application to submit and register an application for marine vessel sailing.

The Ministry clarified that this service will save time and effort for sea-goers as the previous process of registering marine movement through Coasts and Borders Security checkpoints has been replaced with direct registration through the application. This comes within the Ministry's efforts to utilize modern technology across its different departments to simplify procedures for the public.

The Ministry further stated that, through the Security Services in the Community Policing window, the Metrash2 application also allows users to report abandoned buildings, the violation of regulations, selling of prohibited items, damaging of facilities, or endangering of residents.
