The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) encourages individuals to participate in the National STEPwise Survey 2023 to address the burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and improve public health.
On May 25, this survey will be conducted in collaboration with the Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA), Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), and the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC). Developed by the World Health Organization (WHO), the STEPwise survey serves as a standardized tool for data collection.
The National STEPwise Survey, 2023 for NCDs, is being carried out by field teams comprising PSA, HMC, and PHCC personnel until Thursday.
The survey nurses carry an official letter from the Ministry of Public Health to ensure transparency and legitimacy. For any inquiries, individuals can contact the Ministry's hotline at 16000. Additionally, the census enumerators from the Planning and Statistics Authority possess identification cards, and people can seek clarification by calling 8000800.
According to the Ministry, the survey will select a random sample of Qatari nationals and non-Qatari residents from household lists based on the Population Census 2020. Participants will be between 15 and 69 years old and randomly chosen from the selected households.
By actively participating in the National STEPwise Survey 2023, individuals contribute to the collective effort to reduce the burden of NCDs and promote better health outcomes for the nation.
