Museum With No Frontiers (MWNF) has launched an immersive online exhibition platform, revolutionizing how users engage with collections. The highly anticipated unveiling took place in Doha, where the prestigious HE Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum co-hosted the event under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani.
This cutting-edge platform builds upon the successful experimental exhibition "Using Color in Art." Leveraging the power of technology, users can now explore many themes and interact with digital displays efficiently.
UN Under-Secretary-General Miguel Ángel Moratinos has hailed the launch of the new exhibition platform as a significant step towards fostering mutual respect and understanding between cultures. The platform promotes harmony, respect, and solidarity by facilitating in-person and online discussions.
The innovative exhibition platform enables MWNF to guide viewers through history and art. MWNF has been at the forefront of virtual programming and displays, having established renowned online museums and galleries since its inception in 1995.
Collaborations with prominent websites and institutions have given rise to notable projects such as "Discover Islamic Art," "Discover Baroque Art," and "Sharing History." Additionally, MWNF Galleries categorize content by medium or object type, including "Discover Carpet Art" and "Discover Glass Art."
Aligned with its goals, MWNF aims to create global exhibition initiatives that offer equal participation opportunities to all partners. The organization also seeks to design exhibitions with age-appropriate information for different educational groups, catering to their needs.
The spotlight of the recent launch event was the Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani Museum, the largest of its kind. Spanning approximately 50,000 square meters, this personal museum, situated near Al Sheehaniya, northwest of Doha, houses a remarkable collection of over 40,000 objects dating from antiquity to the present, including the Jurassic period and beyond.
