Qatar National Library launched the digital exhibition “The Holy Kaaba” on its website.

The exhibition takes visitors on a journey through 50 carefully selected artifacts from the Qatar National Heritage Library related to the history of the Kaaba, Hajj and the Grand Mosque.

The exhibition provides visitors with a great deal of important historical information about the history of the Kaaba's construction and its architectural characteristics, in addition to reviewing its spiritual importance to Muslims throughout history. The exhibition also mentions how poets would compete to obtain the honor of hanging their poems on the Kaaba's curtains as a symbol of pride and boasting about their high status.

The exhibition also includes a collection of detailed information about the ancient place of worship from the inside, in addition to reviewing mentions of the city of Makkah Al-Mukarramah by European and Western writers.
