Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Ali Al-Mannai, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, inaugurated six postage stamps on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani assuming the reins of power in the country.

The line of stamps by Qatar Post is a continuation of the line issued in 2018 to celebrate the fifth anniversary of His Highness the Emir assuming the reins of power in the country.

His Excellency Mr. Faleh bin Muhammad Al-Nuaimi, Chairman and Managing Director of the Qatar Postal Services Company, said that this occasion is a distinguished reminder of what the State of Qatar has achieved over the past decade under the wise leadership of His Highness the Emir. His Excellency likewise expressed Qatar Post’s honor to document the occasion, and indicated that Qatar Post always attempts to document all national events.

Mr. Khaled Rustom, Head of the Stamps and Museum Affairs Department at Qatar Post, stated that the company issued 6 traditional stamps, according to the highest quality standards, to be a valuable addition to the collection of official stamps at Qatar Post.

He added that the new line consists of 300 pure gold stamps, 1,000 gilded stamps (24 karat), and 5,000 sets.
